Episode 179: Dan Andriano

Alkaline Trio bassist/singer Dan Andriano came by while on tour with his excellent solo project Dan Andriano In The Emergency Room to talk about why mild-altering drugs can eventually dull your senses, what it’s been like relocating from Chicago to St. Augustine, Florida, and how he’s mellowed out in general after playing in a punk band for nearly two decades. “Subconsciously I’ve always been scared of my addictive personality,” Andriano admits at one point, adding that he’s been so busy promoting his new album and taking care of his family that he simply doesn’t have the time to sit around in a haze anymore. “I’m way happier trying to get organized and take control of my life,” he continues. If this is growing up, count us in.
