Chicago punk legends Brendan Kelly (The Lawrence Arms) and Derek Grant (Alkaline Trio) came by Going Off Track to help us celebrate our 200th episode with guest host Dan Ozzi (Noisey)! The duo discuss their early ska roots in Slapstick and the Suicide Machines respectively, what the future of virtual reality sex will be like and what it’s like for the two of them to be out together on an acoustic tour. We also talk about why Grant recently relocated to rural Vermont, why the new album by Kelly’s punk supergroup The Falcon is so great and what it was like for the group to play their first show with Dave Hause in front of 1,200 having never practiced together once. Warning: This episode contains lots of potty humor, literally. But what else would you expect?
