Episode 266: Frank Carter

Former Gallows frontman Frank Carter came by the podcast to talk about his current project Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes and their latest album, Modern Ruin. We also discuss his tattooing career, the brief tenure of his major-label project Pure Love and why Carter is the only person on the planet who is obsessed with both Ennio Morricone and Trap Them. He also talks about the violent musical project he never released, why he bought a house for his mother as soon as he finally started making money from his art and his struggles with anxiety. “I think we have a huge responsibility to teach the generations that are coming acceptance and equality overall because I think that’s the one thing that’s eating us up,” Carter explains when asked how having a child has affected his formerly nihilistic worldview. “My daughter is going to be influenced by whatever she’s influenced by and I’m just going to do my best to teach her what is right, which is probably wrong because I don’t know what I’m doing half the time.” From business disasters to show injuries this episode of Going Off Track truly lives up to our moniker.
